Emerald is Pantone's Color of the Year (2013)

Drumroll: The color of the year is emerald! This is a lush, fresh, and natural color that can set a bold or serene mood. For the former, it works well last year's color of the year, tangerine, and wedding favorites, pink and purple. These two colors keep the wedding mood natural and romantic. If you would like to create a serene mood, consider matching emerald with yellow, turquoise, or periwinkle. If using too many colors make you nervous, try matching it with the basics, black or white.

This color of the year can be incorporated into bridal fashion in a variety of ways. Getting a sapphire wedding engagement ring would really kick off this wedding color! If you are bold bride (like the one below) consider wearing an emerald green wedding gown. If not, it would make a great color for your bridesmaids. (I personally believe this color will work great with all skin tones!) Still a little bit more subtle? How about emerald colored heels and accessories?

Did you know there are flowers that come (naturally) in green? These blooms are: amaryllis, calla lilies, gerber daisies, hydrangeas, mums, orchids, ranunculus, roses, viburnum, and zinnias. Now you don't have to worry about only having leaves in your bouquet to incorporate your wedding color!

Best of luck to all the newly engaged brides! If you need some advice on incorporating this color, give me a shout, text, or email (weddings@wishahmon.com)!
