Calgary is freezing cold today. I think it is something like minus 34 degrees Celsius. I say I think because I am writing this blog in bed under a thick blanket. I have no intentions of going outside to verify the temperature. If you are a bride planning a winter wedding, kudos to you. You are much braver than I am. If you are still looking for a wedding gown for your winter wedding, check out the Fall 2015 collection of Badgley Mischka. 

When I initially saw this collection, it immediately reminded me of a winter wedding or a snow princess. What do you think? If you are a winter bride, what made you decide on a winter wedding? How to Plan a Winter Wedding

If you are having second thoughts of your 2014 winter wedding due to our recent -35 degree Celsius temperatures, here are some step by step instructions on how to plan your winter wedding. Hopefully, these tips will inspire your wedding planning again and remind you why you wanted a winter wedding. Seriously, a winter wedding in Calgary is not that bad!

1) Introduce your wedding

That wasn't so hard right? As you are planning your winter wedding, remember to also plan on keeping you and your guests warm! You don't want your guests to only remember how cold your wedding was and that they took home some frostbite.

How to Stay Warm for Your Fall or Winter Wedding

A strapless, a-line wedding gown with a sweet heart neckline is one of the most flattering styles of wedding gown a bride can chose. One downfall is it can get a little cold if your wedding is in the fall or winter.

Our solution: Forget the shawl and throw on a cozy sweater or cardigan. It can be neutral or a great pop of color! Maybe even in your wedding color? Make sure you chose a sweater one that is shorter (don't pick one that covers your butt), and shows off your waistline. If you can cinch in the waist, bonus!
