- Don't wear white regardless of how cute you look in it. If you are close enough to the bride, you can ask for permission first. There are tons of colors in the rainbow for you to chose from, chose a different color from the bride.
- Dress appropriately for the formality of the wedding. If it is a black tie wedding, don't wear something you would wear for a beach wedding. The couple has a specific vision for their wedding, respect that. If you have no idea what the level of formality is, take clues from their wedding invitation or ask the wedding couple.
- Let the bride shine and don't be the center of attention. You will have your time to shine but don't try to steal the spotlight from the bride. What this means is nothing too revealing, short, or flashy. Still have no clue whether something is too too much? Ask yourself if you will be noticed by everyone. If the answer is yes, leave that dress for the club.
Here are some suggestions on what you can wear to a wedding as a guest. The suggestions are tasteful and fashionable. Just because it is not your day, you should still look and feel good.
