Brad Pitt's Sweet Letter to Angelina Jolie

January 2, 2014 - Turns out the letter below is a fake. We just learned that today. In any event, I personally loved it. Charming picture of Brad too.

*****

We were going to take a break for Christmas but this love letter was too good and had to be shared!

I lost hope and thought that we’ll get divorced soon…But then I decided to act on it- Brad Pitt writes a sweet love letter to Angelina Jolie

destruktivna:

“My wife got sick. She was constantly nervous because of problems at work, personal life, her failures and problems with children. She has lost 30 pounds and weighed about 90 pounds in her 35 years. She got very skinny, and was constantly crying. She was not a happy woman. She had suffered from continuing headaches, heart pain and jammed nerves in her back and ribs. She did not sleep well, falling asleep only in the morning and got tired very quickly during the day. Our relationship was on the verge of break up. Her beauty was leaving her somewhere, she had bags under her eyes, she was poking her head, and stopped taking care of herself. She refused to shoot the films and rejected any role. I lost hope and thought that we’ll get divorced soon…But then I decided to act on it. After all I’ve got the most beautiful woman on the earth. She is the idol of more than half of men and women on earth, and I was the one allowed to fall asleep next to her and to hug her shoulders.I began to pamper her with flowers, kisses and compliments. I surprised her and pleased her every minute. I gave her lots of gifts and lived just for her. I spoke in public only about her. I incorporated all themes in her direction. I praised her in front of her own and our mutual friends. You won’t believe it, but she blossomed. She became even better than before. She gained weight, was no longer nervous and she loved me even more than ever. I had no clue that she CAN love that much. And then I realized one thing: The woman is the reflection of her man.If you love her to the point of madness, she will become it.“

Wishahmon Year in Review - 2013

In keeping with a (short) tradition of recapping the highlights of our year, here are the things that are noteworthy / made us happy or proud / was an epic milestone!

1) I jumped on the bandwagon and started watching Mad Men this year. (Starting with season six!) In addition to trying to catch up and learn everyone's names/roles/background in the series, I started paying attention to what the guys were wearing. They were all so impeccably dressed all the time! (Yeah, I know it is a tv show and why would we want to watch a show with a bunch of slobs.) As a result, we started dedicating blog posts to grooms too!

2) We combined forces with Forbidden City Restaurant! As stated before I think they are one of the top resturants in Calgary in terms of creativity of new dishes. It was truly an honor to have been asked by them to create a custom wedding package offered only to the couples having their wedding reception there. Hoping for more collaborations in 2014!

3) Found a picture of myself in Avenue Magazine in the Party Crasher section! Can cross off "have my picture in magazine" off my bucket list.

4) In June, Alberta was hit with the worst flood it has seen in a long time. Although we don't have huge muscles or big trucks, we offered to help brides and grooms if the flood added to their wedding stress. In three weeks, we were able to help several couples relocate weddings from High River, golf courses, and the Calgary Zoo.

5) Unbeknownist to us, we decorated a wedding ceremony that reminded someone of Star Wars. We got skillz.

6) BF and I bought a trillium trailer, fixed him up, and called him Bruce. This was the first really non-related wedding post. It was a huge stretch to make it wedding related and we couldn't stretch that far. I was so excited with this project, I absolutely had to share! I also wrote this post to show my clients what I do/will be doing during non-wedding season. (Most of them don't think I do anything that is non-wedding related.)

7) After months of planning and blogging (18 blog posts!), Carisa and Richard tied the knot! After their wedding, we became great friends. Tomorrow they are going on their honeymoon! Have a great time guys!

8) We had our first booth at the Bridal Expo! The experience is quite different from attending the expo! We had a great time meeting tons of brides face to face. At the end of the day, we had 33 appointments set up with brides to look at gowns. Special thanks to Ken, Polly, Cikiena, and Ivy for all their help and support that day and beyond!

9) I met my first real friend through Twitter! We shared a mutual friend and had a brief conversation through twitter. I reached out to her and she agreed to be a guest blogger! Vincci Tsui shared her tips on how brides can lose weight for her wedding. Her three part series were some of our most read blog posts of the year!

10) We started our fundraiser to help rebuild habitats at the Calgary Zoo from the June flood. Old and new friends immediately jumped onboard to help me out with this project. As of date, we have raised $3400! We are going to keep at this until we have raised $10,000 for the zoo!!

11) Took several breaks from blogging this year. The most epic break resulted in seeing Justin Timberlake in concert. He was standing about 10 feet from me! I was screaming at the top of my lungs when I snapped this picture.

12) We added a couple of great people to our team! Ivy, Cikiena, and Ken came onboard to help with Wishahmon - Glorious Gowns and Wishahmon - Wedding Creations. They offer lots of creativity and energy. 2014 is going to be better than the years before! We are all looking forward to it with open minds and hearts. Huge thanks to our family, friends, clients, supporters, and readers. We will keep doing our very best because weddings is what we truly love to do!!

Anna Campbell 2013 Gossamer Collection

A regular reader of our blog made a comment that she has been seeing more zoo animals on our blog than brides and grooms. I told her it is my dream to design a wedding for two giraffes in love. She just looked at me with a puzzled look on her face. I hope it didn't lose her as a reader...

On that note, back to brides and beautiful gowns!

If you want a lot of bling on your wedding gown and refuse the term "Princess" bride, you might want to check out Australian based designer, Anna Campbell's 2013 collection. It is a mix of flowing chiffon and sparkly bling! Ultra feminine without the "princess" stereotype!

Be prepared to have your breath taken away!

How to Plan a Winter Wedding

If you are having second thoughts of your 2014 winter wedding due to our recent -35 degree Celsius temperatures, here are some step by step instructions on how to plan your winter wedding. Hopefully, these tips will inspire your wedding planning again and remind you why you wanted a winter wedding. Seriously, a winter wedding in Calgary is not that bad!

1) Introduce your wedding
Match your invitations to the climate.

2) Find something warm to wear with your wedding gown. (Make sure your wedding party does too!)
(As long as you allow the wedding party to do the same.)

3) Have unique winter accents in your flowers
Use pinecones and succulents in your flower arrangements.

4) Create a winter mood. Move your winter wedding indoors.

5) Or enjoy the outdoors. Kudos if you do this in Calgary!

6) Have warm accents at your wedding.
So do pine cones.

Scatter candles EVERYWHERE.
7) Have a wintery wedding cake.
Put your cake on a log.

8) Keep your guests warm and toasty.
And thank your wedding party with cozy blankets.

9) End the night with something warm and sweet
Treat your guests to a s'mores bar.

10) Have your guests bring home a warm wedding favor.
Send guests home with pine cone candles.

That wasn't so hard right? As you are planning your winter wedding, remember to also plan on keeping you and your guests warm! You don't want your guests to only remember how cold your wedding was and that they took home some frostbite.

2014 Color of the Year - Radiant Orchid

Each year Pantone announces the color of the year. This is a really big deal because it affects beauty, fashion, and interior design trends, just to name a few. Of course, the color of the year also influences and inspires wedding trends. In 2013, the color of the year was Emerald. 2014, it is Radiant Orchid. Absolutely love the name too! So serene!

PANTONE COLOR OF THE YEAR 2014 - Radiant Orchid 18-3224

With a pretty name as "Radiant Orchid," the obvious thing to incorporate in your wedding is orchids! Here are some pretty bouquets to get your creative juices/pinterest boards going.

 Rachel A. Clingen

Jeff Leatham

The Mille Fiori

Will you be incorporating this color into your wedding? What are your wedding colors? I would love to hear whether or not a "color of the year" influences your wedding choices! Drop me a line!

Justin Timberlake + Britney Spears in Las Vegas

No, Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears did not get back together.

If you were wondering what the heck we were up to that led to slacking off on our blog, here are some possibilities:
a) Black Friday shopping in the States;
b) Good eats and drinks by top chefs in Vegas;
c) Seeing JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE in concert at the MGM Grand;
d) Seeing BRITNEY SPEARS at her welcome party at Planet Hollywood and getting her autograph!

Answer: All of the freaking above!!!

Don't believe me? Check out these pics!

Nilla Fischer Got Married

Taking advantage of the wedding "(s)low" season, my crew and I have been focussing our time and efforts towards raising funds for the Calgary Zoo to help rebuild the habitats that were damaged from the June floods. Although I haven't had time to really sit down and write (thought provoking) blog posts (are they EVER though? Please let me know!), I did come across an image that I found very inspiring.

The two images are of two brides getting married. They are both in white wedding gowns and each gown suits each of them. Love their hair too! A little research found the two brides are Nilla Fischer and her fiancee. Nilla is a Swedish footballer for VfL Wolfsburg and the Swedish national team.
