Since posting "Wedding Tips (From Ryan Gosling)", I learned I have a lot of different readers for this blog. Some readers loved how different this post was. Others sent me a personal message asking me if I was high when I posted it. (No, I wasn't. I just love Ryan.)
This is a fun post where (Bride - Bouquet + Cat) * Photoshop = Brides Throwing Cats. According to their website: It's all a bit of fun, photoshopping cats in place of bouquets for brides to throw. No cats were harmed and we certainly don’t encourage anyone to throw a cat ever, let alone on their wedding day.
Thanks K for this wedding notification!

Wishahmon at Wedding Fair 2014
This past Sunday the Wishahmon crew was at the Wedding Fair meeting and chatting with a ton of brides, grooms, and wedding party members. We look forward to meeting everyone and discussing their wedding further during our consultations. We also hope to help some brides find their dream wedding gown at a fraction of retail cost.
If you didn't make it out to the Wedding Fair, this is what our booth looked like! There were many last minute changes due to more booth space and general indecisiveness.
Huge thanks to Ken (my right hand man), Cikiena (my left hand gal), Carisa (my greatest supporter), Ivy (my rock), and Kevin (my sharpest tool in the shed). Feeling under the weather both days, I couldn't have pulled myself together and do the set up/take down of the booth without their help. I am truly blessed to have all of them in my life!

WN: Soundwaves Artwork
The two words that makes me melt is when I hear the bride and groom say "I do." For me, I hear them seal the deal with each other on their commitment. If you feel the same way and would like an awesome keepsake, why not turn your "I do" sound waves into artwork? If you have another special words for each other, I say go for it! (Sweetie, pumpkin, cupcake, sugarplum? All works to me!)
Thanks L for this wedding notification (WN)!

Bridal Hairstyles 2014
Recently, one of my brides said she is going to cut her hair into a pixie cut next week. She then asked me if I think it will grow back before her wedding in August. I said of course it is going to grow back some what. Then I asked her what she wants her hair to look like for her wedding. She stared at me with a blank look. I told her within reason, she can use hair extensions but she might want to start planning her hair style now. Extensions to have to hang onto something. If you know of a secret weapon that can grow your hair out 10 inches in 6 months, please share with me! Please!

Amazing Floral Wedding Ceremonies
If my clients had an unlimited floral budget for their wedding or they owned a flower shop, this is the decor I would suggest for their wedding ceremony! If you are a client that meets the first two criteria, please contact me. You have no idea how much I would want to work you in designing your wedding with a ton plus more floral blooms. Happy dance.

WN: Who You Should Marry
Everyone around me knows I love weddings and wedding related anything. When there is anything wedding related online, in stores, or on tv, I get notified. (When the boss of Alfred Angelo was on Undercover Boss, I got calls/texts/facebook messages from quite a few friends. Of course, most of them was at least 10 minutes late in telling me because they didn't know what business Alfred Angelo was. tsk.)
Periodically, I will be turning these "wedding notifications (WN)" into blog posts to share our readers. Thanks to L for this one!

Marry someone who lets you have a bite of their brownie, even when you said
you weren’t hungry. Marry someone who laughs at the same things you do. Marry
someone who kisses your nose on a cold day. Marry someone who you can watch
Disney movies with. Marry someone who is proud of you whether you earn £5 a week
or £5,000 a week. Marry someone who you can tell everything to. Marry someone
who isn’t afraid or embarrassed to hold your hand in public. Marry someone who
lets you take over when decorating a cake. Marry someone who you can spend the
day in Ikea with without feeling stressed. Marry someone who wraps you up inside
their coat in the winter. Marry someone who accepts your fears and phobias. Marry someone who gives you butterflies every time you hear their key in the
door. Marry someone who you don’t always have to shave your legs for. Marry
someone who accepts you all day every day, even when you don’t look or feel your
best. Marry someone who puts three sugars in your tea, despite telling them
“just the two”. Marry someone who doesn’t judge you when you eat your body
weight in cookies. Marry someone who doesn’t make you want to check your phone,
because you know they will reply. Marry someone who waits with you to get on the
train. Marry someone who understands that you need to be alone sometimes. Marry
someone who gets on well with your parents and isn’t uptight about family
events. Marry someone who calms you down when you get mad about stupid stuff,
and never tells you it’s “only stupid stuff”. Marry someone who makes you want
to be a better person. Marry someone who makes you laugh. Marry someone who you
love. Marry your soulmate, your lover, your best friend.

Online Shopping for your Wedding Gown
Despite totally being against it, this blog post is about how online gown shopping. First the reasons why I am against it:
1. You have no idea if the picture of the gown is what you are actually getting;
2. You can't tell the quality of the fabric or construction of the gown;
3. You can't tell if the gown will work on you or fit, (and risk spending a lot of money on alterations);
4. You will be screwed if it doesn't arrive for your wedding;
5. You lose out on an opportunity to "say yes to the dress" in front of your family and girlfriends.
If my FIVE reasons hasn't changed your mind and you are determined to find your dream gown online, here are some tips:
1. Know Your Body
We all have different body shapes, so you should always begin by knowing how your bust, waist, and hips are in proportion with each other. That way, you can easily eliminate silhouettes, necklines, and waistlines that don't flatter your figure, no matter how pretty they look on the model. Know your measurements and be honest. Even if you plan on losing weight, do not assume you will lose inches in all the places you want.
2. Do Your Research
Go to actual wedding boutiques to try on gowns that might work for you. You want to eliminate specific styles of gowns that don't work for your body and find those that do. Pay attention to the size of wedding gowns you are trying. Although each designer is different, you will get a sense of what size you are. (Regardless of your wedding gown "size", just remember it is only a number.) Last thing, pay attention and understand different fabrics. Some tug a little bit more and some has more or less give.
3. Understand Your Purchase
Read the gown description carefully. Make sure the gown in the picture is what you are actually getting. Look at all the pictures available. Don't just look at the front and back of the gown. Look also at the zippers/corset back, train, neckline, etc.
Pay attention to exactly what you are getting and when your gown is expected to arrive. Some dresses ship immediately. Others will take several months to ship. Learn where your gown is coming from. There may be higher shipping costs and you might have to pay for custom fees.
If the gown doesn't work out, make sure you know what their policy when it comes to canceling your dress order and/or returning it. Some sites will allow you to return the dress if you're not satisfied with how it fits. Many sites will charge a restocking fee, which is a common practice. And others, especially those offering made to order gowns, will not accept returns.
4. Have a Great Seamstress
Every gown purchase will need to be altered in some way, even if it is a custom made gown. Don't freak out and find a great seamstress to help you out. Make sure you hire a professional and don't put the pressure onto your Aunt Maria. It is not fair to her. A great seamstress will be able to make sure you look 100% on your wedding day.
If you bought your gown online, please drop me a line or leave me a comment! I would love to hear how it went! Maybe you can change my mind! (I'm not really that against online wedding gown shopping. I just haven't heard enough great stories yet!)
