One of the places I dream about visiting is Greece. I don't know a whole lot about the place and only had Greek food a handful of times. What I find attractive is the architecture. To me, it is distinctive of Greece to see white buildings and houses next to a blue sky. When brides tell me they are going to Greece for a destination wedding, my mind immediately races to what their wedding gown would look like. The 2016 Santorini Collection by Julie Vino is a perfect fit for the cool blue skies and iconic white houses of the Greek isles.

Featured Vendor: Latte Art Love
If you are a coffee lover and in love, you might want to consider bringing in a professional barista at your wedding! Imagine the special touch of providing all your guests will a special cup of coffee, Definitely a great way to start or end the wedding night! Meet Elle Nguyen of Latte Art Love. Her work is definitely works of art that you will love.
When did you start your business and what was your inspiration?
I was at the Calgary Expo in line for a photo opportunity with Matt Smith. I was curious why there wasn't any "good" coffee available at such a big event. I had attended a tech convention in Vienna the year before and nearly every vendor booth there had barista manned coffee service. Having a fresh cup of coffee in hand made the whole waiting and chaos of the convention so much more tolerable - why didn't we have that right here in Calgary? That's when I started planning the launch of Latte Art Love, a cafe specializing in mobile service of luxury espresso bar services.
What makes your business different from others?
Latte Art Love is all about love for latte art and latte art demands for coffee obsessed baristas. Great latte art is best when it is made from fresh, quality ingredients and made by a barista who understands the science and art of coffee.
What is the best part of your job?
R & D. I experiment a lot to coffee recipes to find the best pairings for flavors and textures and test out the concoctions on curious taste buds. Gather up all the feedback and adjust the recipes accordingly to maximize drink satisfaction.
What do you hope to achieve with each wedding?
Better connect people together for an event by providing an inspiring icebreaker for conversations.
What was your most memorable wedding?
Alison and Joel's wedding was the most memorable for me. They are huge coffee fans - we set up coffee service in the event venue's bar and turned it into a luxury cafe and during the wedding, they had a coffee trivia game for their guests.
Words that you live by?
Find and build a support system of close friends/family that is based on honesty and understanding. Then, fly free and far. Then when you fall on hard times, you know you have a supportive home to return to.

Announcing Engagement To Coworkers
After notifying your boss about your engagement, you are probably
wondering how to handle your engagement in other aspects of your work
life.
Etsy
Announce Your Engagement
How you announce your engagement really depends on your
personality and working relationships with coworkers. You might have coworkers
that don’t like to share things about their personal lives or coworkers that might
not be too excited for you. If that is the case, share your engagement with
people one on one and just let the news flow naturally.
Who to Invite
After you made your announcement, you are probably wondering who you
should invite. This is a very important decision (not for office politics) but
for the number of invitees you can have at your wedding. You will likely have a
max number of guests to invite due to your venue size, budget, and personal
preference. Do not feel you need to invite everyone you work with. Invite those
that you want to share your special day with.
Those That Didn’t Get an
Invite
Ok, this is going to be awkward. You didn’t invite a coworker and he/she
is taking it personally. You might also feel horrible about this and don’t know
how you are going to work with this person until your wedding in 11 months.
Best bet is to have a chat with this coworker. Explain you couldn’t invite
everyone to your wedding but you value her and your working relationship with
her. This just might be enough to calm the waters.
Vacation Days
Plan ahead and decide how many vacation days you need for the wedding and
honeymoon. If you have enough saved by then, talk to your boss about the number
of days you would like to take off. If you don’t have enough vacation days
saved by then, talk to your boss about alternatives. Maybe you can work extra
hours to make up the time, maybe you can borrow vacation days from the next
year, or maybe you can take it as a leave of absence. Try to go into your
meeting with a plan on how many days you want to take off, how many days you
need, and how you plan on doing all your work to cause less of a disruption
during your leave. Your boss will appreciate you have thought things through
and will likely work with you to give you time off. Monday, February 22, 2016
Seasonal Flower Guide: Winter
If you want to stay within your wedding budget, your best bet is to design your wedding flowers with seasonal blooms. Yes, you can have peonies for your winter wedding but you will be paying a lot for it. Some flower shops will order them from Holland for your wedding but they cannot guarantee the quality of the blooms or that they will arrive on time. Despite these two factors, you might still be stuck with the bill. Here are the flowers available in the winter.

What's New at Wishahmon - February 2016
Like our clients, our team is on pinterest ALL THE TIME. It is my guilty pleasure in the afternoon. Rather than grabbing a cookie to go with my coffee, I grab my coffee and look at pretty wedding things on pinterest, and sometimes look up the occasional cookie recipe. (I haven't made one yet.)
As I was on pinterest one day, I noticed a pin came up belonging to Wishahmon. I thought this was really amusing that one of my pins came up on my search. Then, it was less amusing when I realized I haven't pinned for a really, really long time.
Thanks to Tiffanie the Wishahmon pinterest account is up to date again! Please feel free to head over and check us out!

The list looks long and it may feel cumbersome but trust me, you don't want to miss out on one of these photos. Four to six months after your wedding, when you get your wedding photos from your photographer, you don't want to find out you don't have a single picture with your grandma! Another bonus, you will get brownie points for helping your photographer out with this list WITHOUT being asked!
