Fashion Friday: Chinese Wedding Dress

Recently I had a conversation with one of my brides about the number of dresses she will be wearing on her wedding day. Absolutely she will be wearing a wedding gown but we also talked about wearing a traditional red Chinese wedding dress. This dress is often called a qi pao or cheongsam. It is supposed to bring out the beauty in every woman. (I do however like her hair!)

In reality, the cheongsam is a very hard dress to wear. The dress is form fitting, sleeveless, and has a high slit up both sides of your legs. All body insecurities are instantly revealed and makes you want to grab a piece of cake. (Ok, maybe just me!)

Feeling slightly bummed out for my bride, I started doing some research for a modern version of the Chinese dress (in between bites of cake.) Here are my findings! High five to all brides looking for a cool Chinese dress!
